Born in Nagasaki. After graduated from the Department of Archaeology at Kyushu University (BA) and the University of Tokyo (MA), and working in curatorial managements and museology at the Ancient Orient Museum, Tokyo, I started to work in Geo-Cosmological Institute. Taking part in many excavation projects as archaeologist in Syria, Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iraq during the past two decades, my current research focuses on the archaeological study of ancient urbanism from prehistoric material culture, and neolithization processes. My interest also includes various periods from Palaeolithic to Medieval Age in Southwest Asia and beyond.
